Scott, her nephew wrote "she lived at home with her parents and never married.  She taught piano and I do not recall ever seeing her eat with the others since she took her food into her bedroom. 

She was also a church organist while living in Chicago and later in Reno. Aunt Ada was said to be very pretty and attractive in her youth but elected to stay home and care for the family--an act which my father always appreciated. Following her parents death Aunt Ada  move to Reno and lived with us for many years, alternating this with living with others from time to time, but moving to Palo Alto with my family."
