As noted William Hill had been born in Killingworth and gone to Le Roy with his father. On Nov. 24, 1831 he was married to Orphana Webb, the daughter of Benjamin Webb of LeRoy. The Hill and Webb famillies were also promient in the Presbyterian Church. William remained in LeRoy and died there in 1887.  While attending school in Conn. William was a seat mate of the famous Cyrus Field. William took over some of the land, build a fine new house it was reported, as well as a cow barn, horse barn, ox house, sheep house, pig stye, penstock, and a tool shed adjacent-to the house. Orphana Webb was descended from the Dutch of the Mohawk and Hudson Valleys.

William had four children, all born in LeRoy.
