RESULTS OF DNA TESTS A MYSTERY"

 

Participant's #1, #2, #3 and #7 are direct male descendants of John Owsley, son of Thomas Owsley II (ABT 1690-1750) of Virginia. Participant's #5, #8, and #9 are direct male descendants of Thomas Owsley III, son of Thomas Owsley II (ABT 1690-1750) of Virginia.    

Participant #6 is believed to be a direct male descendant of Weldon Owsley (Housley), son of Thomas Owsley II (ABT 1690-1750) of Virginia. 

Participant #11 is a direct male descendant of Newdigate Owsley, son of Thomas Owsley II (ABT 1690-1750) of Virginia. 

So far, the DNA results of the direct male descendants of John Owsley have not matched with the DNA results of the direct male descendants of Thomas Owsley III, Newdigate Owsley, and Weldon Owsley (Housley). These results provide a mystery for Owsley (Ousley, Housley) family researchers. We definitely need more Owsley (Ousley, Housley) descendants from different branches of the family to join this project and submit to DNA testing.
