I am the daughter of Eugene Jackson Adams, born 14 June 1912 in Heflin, Alabama and died 16 April 1969 in Birmingham, Alabama and his second wife Edna Owsley Hill, born 30 September 1919 in Highland Park, Illinois and died 25 May 1987 in Ormond Beach, Florida. My GodParents were Evelyn and Wilbur Fish. I learned to swim in the ocean before I could walk and took my first steps barefoot on the beach. As a young girl my Aunt Minnie taught me to draw and my Aunt Milancie to write poetry. My mother gave me the love for the ocean and my Grandmother the passion for genealogy!

Mi Familia by Minnie Horton I look down the corridors of time Four Figures I see coming towards Me The first the oldest a tall stoic aristocratic white- haired Straight back she carries a cane which she rarely uses Next comes a tall stern blond disciplined Musician /Artist One can tell she tolerates no nonsense Behind these two women come two girls The first a tall slender stately blond naturalist who rarely smiles Intense her eyes never wavering from her destination Last comes a very small brunette pixie almost butterfly like darting from blossom to blossom she rarely rests Along the way many have offered to help But politely mostly they decline The four go on alone Soon the girls' paths will diverge and the two women will ask Quo Vadis? (Whither goest thou?)
