White Horses
Wiltshire and Avebury
After the Broughton Castle Tour the cousins reboarded the coach and traveled on to Wiltshire and Avebury. There they observed several “White Horses” chalk hill carvings. Of these only the Uffington white horse is of prehistoric origin, being some three thousand years old.
